Julian sparks Eagles’ rally

 

Kelsey Julian totaled a career-high 21 kills and added five blocks and five digs to help the Eastern Washington Eagles (3-2) rally for a 25-13, 15-25, 32-34, 29-27, 15-13 victory over the College of Charleston Cougars (1-3) in nonconference volleyball action on Tuesday in Charleston, South Carolina.

Allie Schumacher had 20 kills for the Eagles, while Melissa Waelter added 19 kills and 15 digs. Freshman setter Nicole Rigoni finished with 41 assists and 11 digs and Talia Fermantez chipped in with 12 kills.

Women’s soccer

Meagan Pagano scored three goals and Haley White added a goal and two assists to power the North Idaho Cardinals (2-0) to an 8-0 romp over the visiting Tacoma Titans in nonconference play.

Taylor Peterson, Whitney Reichold, Natasha Wilkerson and Katelyn Sly also scored for the Cardinals.
