Area roundup: Whitworth wins volleyball match

Nicole Leonard had 24 kills to help Whitworth beat Lewis-Clark State 3-1 in nonconference volleyball Wednesday night.

The Pirates took the opening set 26-22, taking advantage of three late Warrior errors. LCSC took the second set 25-23, but Whitworth won the next two 25-19 and 25-18. Brenna Bruil had 12 kills for the Pirates.
