OLSON, Stanley Leroy “Stan” (Age 70) Stanley “Stan” Leroy Olson, was welcomed home by his Lord and Savior with his loving family by his side on August 24, 2014, in his Post Falls home.

Stan Olson was born March 20, 1944 in Tacoma, Washington, to Erle and Helen (Scott) Olson.

He was raised in Spokane, WA, where he met his love, Ruth Harden and they were common law married since 1969.

They moved to Idaho in 1975 and lived in Coeur d’Alene until Ruth passed in 2002.

Stan then moved to Post Falls.

Stan is survived by his step-daughters, Sherry Haugtion, Judy Matson, Nancy Benson, Linda Estelle, Barbara Ferguson, and Patty Neff; as well as nephews, Rocky Bertholf and Brian (B.K.)

Deizer; his grandson, Scott Matlock; as well as many other grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Stan was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Harden; and step-son, Bruce Roe.

Stan graduated from and then taught Celebrate Recovery classes at Real Life Ministries in Post Falls where he also attended.

He loved fishing, hunting and watching movies as well as gardening and anything in nature.

He had an amazing sense of humor and always had a goofy story to tell in any conversation.

He was great at giving crazy, but fitting nick-names….you know who you are… to show how much he loved you, hold them dear to your heart.

Services will be held on Sunday, September 7th, 1:00pm at 896 S. Corbin Rd.

(Corbin Park) in Post Falls.

Pot luck BBQ to follow.
