Man shot by Moses Lake police ‘posed threat,’ investigators say

From staff reports
A man was shot by Moses Lake police just before 11 a.m. Friday, according to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office. Grant County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Kyle Foreman said the man was a suspect who “posed a threat” to officers and was fired upon in the parking lot of the Lep Re Kon Harvest Foods store at 2709 W. Broadway Ave. He was taken to a local hospital, then to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. His condition was last listed as stable, Foreman said. Investigators from multiple agencies are on-scene speaking with witnesses, Foreman said. Shops in the nearby strip mall were initially closed, but have since reopened, Foreman said. Foreman did not release the identity of the man shot and could not say if he was armed at the time of the shooting. More information will be released after the weekend by the Moses Lake Police Department, Foreman said.
