Billy Horschel gave up the lead, then took it back, and ended up with a two-shot victory over Bubba Watson at the BMW Championship in Cherry Hills Village, Colorado.

Horschel shot 1-under 69 on Sunday to finish at 14-under 266. He’ll head into next week’s Tour Championship ranked second in the points standings, meaning a win there will earn him the FedEx Cup and a $10 million bonus.

Watson shot a 66 but never got closer than the final two-shot deficit.

Ryan Palmer overcame a three-shot deficit to start the day and was tied with Horschel after 11 holes, but made double bogey on the 13th to fall three behind. Still, his tie for fourth vaulted him well inside the top 30.

Champions Tour

Wes Short Jr. eagled the final hole to win the Quebec Championship in Quebec City for his first Champions Tour’s title.

Short played the final 10 holes in 8 under for an 8-under 64 and a one-stroke victory over Scott Dunlap in the first PGA Tour-sanctioned event in the area since 1956.

Former Pullman resident Kirk Triplett finished at 10-under 206, finishing five strokes back in a tie for fifth.

<h3>Web.com Tour

Adam Hadwin won the Chiquita Classic in Davidson, North Carolina, to jump from fourth to second on the money list after the second of four events in the Web.com Tour Finals. The Canadian closed with a 4-under 68 for a two-stroke victory over John Peterson. Hadwin finished at 18-under 270 at River Run.

Spokane’s Alex Prugh shot a 72 on Sunday to finish at 279, good for a tie for 16th place.

European Tour

American David Lipsky won the European Masters in a playoff, getting par 4 on the first extra hole to beat Graeme Storm of England in Crans-Montana, Switzerland.

Canadian Tour

Chris Williams of Moscow, Idaho, tied for sixth place at the Cape Breton Celtic Classic in Ben Eoin, Noca Scotia. He shot 2-under 70 in Sunday’s final round and finished at 12 under. Mark Silvers and Matt Harmon both finished at 15 under, and Silvers won in a playoff.
