Obituary: Morgan, William D. “Bill”

Age 80

MORGAN, William D. “Bill” On August 24, 2014, our beloved husband, father and grandfather, left his earthly home to meet with his Heavenly Father.

Bill was born in Cleveland, Ohio on September 29, 1933.

He was the only child of Marie Hansen.

After high school and a short time in college, Bill spent two years in the US Army.

Most of his time with the Army he was stationed in Germany.

After his honorable discharge, he migrated to California where he met and married his wife, Pat.

In 1967, Bill moved his young family to Spokane and began his career in the Insurance industry.

He was with Farmers Insurance for 30 years, retiring in 2000.

Bill’s greatest joy was being a part of his boys’ and grandkids’ many activities.

They could always count on him being in the stands “whistling loudly”.

He was their biggest and loudest fan.

A special heartfelt thank you to the staff at Pine Ridge Alzheimer’s and Dementia.

Their love for Bill reflected in the loving, tender care Bill was given during his stay with them.

Bill is preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Marie and Harry Hansen.

Survived by his wife of 53 years, Patricia; sons David and Daniel of Spokane and Steve (Amber) of Hood River, OR; and grandchildren Dylan, Nate, Cass, Wyatt, Deacon, Alexis, Samantha, Nick and Brooke.
