Obituary: Mcgehee, Pearl Martina (Nelson) Earlson

Age 97

MCGEHEE, Pearl Martina (Nelson) Earlson (Age 97) Pearl McGehee was born in Spokane, Washington April 17, 1917 to Martin and Corinne Nelson.

She passed away September 11, 2014 at the age of 97 at the Ray Hickey Hospice House in Vancouver, Washington.

In 1934 she was married to Edwin Earlson.

They lived and worked in Ione, Washington until his passing in 1972.

Seven years later Pearl married James McGehee and moved to Long Beach, Washington where they remained until his death.

In 1989, Pearl moved to Oak Haven Park in Vancouver, Washington where she has lived for the remainder of her life.

Pearl had one sister, Fern and two brothers.

She is survived by numerous family members including nephew Boyd Romaine and his family, Jane, Karen, Tammy, Bailey, Samantha, Maria, Jessica, Jeremiah, Sabrina, and Michael.

Located in Spokane are brother Herb Nelson and his family, Dawn, Sharon, Scott, Tawnee, Kayla, Brett and Nick.

Pearl retired from Nordstrom’s in Portland, Oregon where she was the executive assistant to the financial manager.

Pearl loved life, flowers, friends and Pomeranians including her special “Pepper” of 18 years.

She will be missed!

A Celebration Service was held in her honor in Vancouver, Washington at Evergreen Memorial Gardens on Monday September 15 at 3 pm.

The gravesite service was at Pines Cemetery in Spokane Valley, Washington on September 16 at 3 pm.
