Fall Art Classes at the Spokane Art School – Pottery Wheel Classes with Liz Bishop: Students will learn how to throw on a potter’s wheel, along with stages of working with clay and glazes. Ages 10 to adult. Session 1: Monday and Sept. 29, Oct. 6, 13, and 20, 6-8 p.m. Session 2: Saturday and Sept. 27, Oct. 4, 11, and 18, 10 a.m.-noon. $80/per session, plus $30 lab fee. Class will meet at Liz Bishop’s studio, 11409 E. Alki Ave., Spokane Valley. Let’s Paint with Tresia Oosting – Color mixing, drawing and painting classes for children ages 4-7. Each week will feature a different project. Tuesdays, 4-5 p.m., or Saturdays, 1-2 p.m., at Spokane Art School, 809 W. Garland Ave. $10. Spokane Art School, 809 W. 1912 Center & Heart of the Arts, Inc. – Painting on Glass with Nancy Attebury: Students will learn develop basic skills in drawing and painting and create brightly colored pictures of animals, flowers, or designs on glass. No experience is necessary. Ages 7 to 14. Oct. 4, 9 a.m.-noon. $35/person. Supplies provided. Space is limited. Rregistration required by Oct. 2 at 5 p.m. Drawing in Color with Dana Aldis: Participants will develop their drawing skills and hand-eye coordination while working from observation, along with basic traditional drawing techniques such as line, structure, value/shading and cross-hatching, as well as composition. Students will work at their own pace and complete two or four pieces of art. No experience is necessary. Ages 15 years and younger. Oct. 8, 15, 22, 4:30-6 p.m. $41/session. Supplies provided.
