Valleyfest Run for a Cause - The Valleyfest Annual 5K/10K Run for a Cause benefits Down Syndrome education, research and advocacy groups. The run starts and finishes at Mirabeau Point Park South Centennial Trailhead and takes runners east along the beautiful Centennial Trail. There are timed 5K and 10K runs heading east and an untimed walk heading west. Kids Fun Run at 8 a.m., race at 8:30. Mirabeau Point Park, 13500 E. Valleyfest Triathlon - Valleyfest presents the second annual Valleyfest Triathlon with boating, biking and running. The 15.5-mile course starts at the Mirabeau Park South Centennial Trail Head and runs throughout the Spokane River and Centennial Trail. All transitions take place at Plantes Ferry Sports Complex west picnic shelter area. Competitors may include individuals or teams of up to four. Registration may be completed online or by mail. Valleyfest Centennial Trail Bike Ride - Take a bike ride along the Centennial Trail, sponsored by the Bike Hub and is open to everyone. Meet at North Centennial Trailhead at 11 a.m.; ride starts at noon. There are four leader guided routes from 6.8 to 15.6 miles. Proceeds support bike safety in the Spokane Valley.
