Achievements: Students named to dean’s lists

Several area residents earned academic honors for the spring 2014 semester nationwide. Grade-point averages are calculated on 4.0 scale, unless otherwise noted.

• Eastern Oregon University named area residents to the spring term 2013-14 dean’s list. Students must maintain a grade-point average of at least 3.5 to be named to the list. Students are listed by their hometown.

Colbert: Sydney Nelson.

Medical Lake: Krystal Bryant.

Spokane: Leigh-Anne Kelly, Emma Kost, Cassie Wendt.

• The University of Oregon named area residents to the dean’s list for the spring semester. To qualify, a student must complete at least 15 credits for the semester and earn a grade-point average of 3.75 or better in 12 of the 15 credits. Students are listed by their hometowns.

Chattaroy: Naduah Wheeler.

Coeur d’Alene: Anna Coby.

Hayden Lake: Coleman Boyer.

Spokane: Megan Davis.

• Spokane residents Kristi McGowan, Alexandra Mansfield, Michelle Tatko and Spokane Valley resident Shanna Thompson were named to the dean’s list at the University of Montana for the spring 2014 semester after maintaining a grade-point average between 3.5 and 4.0 for the semester.

• Cedarville University, of Cedarville, Ohio, named Elizabeth Wandling to the 2014 spring dean’s list for earning a grade-point average of 3.5 or more. Wandling is the daughter of Dick and Lorie Wandling, of Davenport, Washington.

• Hillsdale College, in Hillsdale, Michigan, named Eric Walker, of Spokane, to the spring 2014 semester dean’s list. He is the son of Spokane residents Matt and Michelle Walker and graduated in 2012 from The Oaks Classical Christian Academy.

• St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud, Minnesota, named Spokane Valley residents Jordan Zumwalt and Ryan Zumwalt to the spring 2014 dean’s list for maintaining a grade-point average of 3.75 or higher.
