Dilemma in the 4th District

As a Democrat in the 4th Legislative District, I was in a dilemma on who to vote for in the primary. There are only Republican candidates. I believe that this election could very well be decided by Democrats.

I see one of three things happening: 1) Democrats vote for the craziest Republican to embarrass the party and hopefully be able to beat him/her in the next election; 2) Research the candidates and try to find someone who agrees with you on at least a few issues; or 3) Leave your ballot blank.

I would suggest to the Republican candidates, look at who your endorsements are. Do they appeal to the majority or are there some wackos in there? Decide which issues are important to both parties and stick to those. Find common ground.

There are a lot of votes out there that could swing the race one way or another, so please be careful with who and what you align yourself with.
