Fix the finance mess

I’m a veteran, and a lot of people have died along the way to make this country as good as it has been. But, with regard to whether money is speech, if 47 people have more money than 150 million of us, how on earth can that compare or compete in an arena of ideas? Well, the obvious answer is it can’t.

Only an act of Congress can fix the mess Citizens United and McCutcheon unleashed on our country by the incredibly inept Supreme Court, which, it must be said, should be ashamed of itself for being so easily bought. Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers is helping to hold up a vote on this critical issue and she too should be ashamed, but that would require self-awareness and reflection.

Call her office and demand that she vote to amend our Constitution to prohibit the buying and selling of the political system, while we still can.
