Obituary: Northy, Thomas William
Age 78
He grew up in Red Lodge, MT, Tacoma and Richland, WA.
He had many fond childhood memories playing baseball, visiting relatives in Red Lodge and riding Sweetheart, his grandmother’s horse.
He graduated from Columbia High School in Richland, WA.
On August 26, 1963 he married his sweetheart, Kathleen, in Visalia, CA.
Tommy was career military and served in the United States Army, traveling around the world until his retirement in 1984.
Tommy is survived by his loving wife, Kathleen (Brown) Northy of Spokane Valley; his beloved cat, Sophie; daughter, Kimberly (Richard) Stephens of Hollandale, WI; daughter, Kristina Northy of Spokane Valley; grandchildren, Nathaniel Stephens of Madison, WI, Elizabeth Stephens of Madison, WI, Benjamin Stephens of Hollandale, WI, Jessica Boynton of Bellingham, and Emily Boynton of Spokane Valley.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Tommy will be remembered for his love of family and cats, his compassionate nature towards all living things, his unique sense of humor and the nicknames he created for family and friends.
Some of his favorite activities were reading, watching the Mariners lose, and gazing at the night sky.
We have lost a very special person.
We will miss you, Jack Bogardus.
