Ticket offerings set for Battle in Seattle

Tickets for the annual Battle in Seattle, Gonzaga University’s yearly men’s basketball game at KeyArena, will go on sale to Bulldog Club members Wednesday at 9 a.m.

The Zags will play 2014 NCAA tournament participant Cal Poly on Dec. 20 at 7 p.m.

Bulldog Club members, who can buy tickets before they are offered to the general public, will be emailed a special code this afternoon. Tickets may be purchased online at Ticketmaster.com, by phone at (800) 745-3000, or in person at any Ticketmaster outlet.

Tickets range in price from $17 to $55, with lower-level seats starting at $35. Additional premium seating options are also available.

Tickets will go on sale to the public Friday beginning at 10 a.m. at the same outlets.

College football

Quincy Forte, Eastern Washington’s senior running back, collected an armload of honors for his performance in the Eagles’ 52-51 victory at Montana State on Saturday.

Forte, who rushed for 190 yards and four touchdowns, collected the first Big Sky Conference Offensive Player of the Week honor of his career and also picked up three other honors.

He was one of five weekly FCS All-Stars named by the College Sporting News, was No. 1 among 15 FCS players selected athletes of the week by Beyond Sports Network, and was College Sports Madness’ Big Sky Offensive Player of the Week.

The Eagles, ranked second in both national polls, play at UC Davis on Saturday.

Men’s soccer

Conner Bevans, Gonzaga’s junior forward who had a goal and two assists in the Bulldogs’ first win of the season, 4-2 over previously unbeaten UNLV, is the West Coast Conference Player of the Week.

It was the first four-point match of Bevans’ career.
