Pasco officer kills car theft suspect

PASCO — A car theft suspect who was shot by a police officer in Pasco has died. Police were chasing the car Wednesday morning when two men jumped out and ran in different directions. Police caught the passenger. But during a confrontation with the driver an officer opened fire because police believe the man indicated he had a weapon. Capt. Jim Raymond tells KONA paramedics took the man to a hospital where he died. The officer wasn’t injured.
