“To Kill a Mockingbird” Oscar-winning movie will be shown as part of the Banned Book Week activities. The 1962 film was directed by Robert Mulligan. The screenplay by Horton Foote was based on Harper Lee’s 1960 Pulitzer Prize-winning – and often challenged – novel. It stars Gregory Peck as Atticus Finch and Mary Badham as Scout. “Central Station (Central Do Brasil)” Dora, who writes letters for illiterate people at Rio de Janeiro’s central railroad station, feels compelled to help 9-year-old Josue locate his estranged father after the child’s mother dies in a car accident. Banff Radical Reels Tour The best high-adrenaline films from the Banff Mountain Film Festival. A portion of the proceeds will go to support the Independence Ski Team’s program for youth in the Sandpoint community.
