Prep roundup: Maria Adams, Bullpups top Mt. Spokane to stay unbeaten

Maria Adams helped Gonzaga Prep move to 2-0 in the Greater Spokane League as the Bullpups swept host Mt. Spokane on Thursday night.

Adams had 10 digs, five kills, two aces and two blocks as Gonzaga Prep won 26-24, 25-17 and 25-19.

Adrienne Dotson led all players with 10 kills for Mt. Spokane (1-1).

• Alex Douglas had 12 kills, eight aces and three blocks as University (2-0) stayed perfect on the season with a straight-sets GSL win over host North Central (0-2). Scores were 25-11, 25-19 and 25-10.

• Amanda Chan had five kills and Payton Douglas added 17 digs as Mead (1-1) swept Rogers (0-2) 25-13, 25-10, 25-12 in a GSL match at Rogers.

• Mary Stoa had 14 assists and Chloe Dittmar added 11 digs as host Lewis and Clark (2-0) beat Ferris (0-2) 25-12, 25-15, 25-18 in a GSL match.

• Courtney Eaton had 11 kills and 11 digs as Timberlake recovered after a very slow start and beat host Priest River in five sets in an Intermountain League match. Scores were 10-25, 25-21, 15-25, 25-22 and 15-10.

Matraca Rocheleau dished out 21 assists for the Tigers and Kiara Hauck added 17 digs.

• Jordan Phelan had 11 kills, Megan Duff had four aces and Emily Sior dished out 29 assists as East Valley (4-0) swept Clarkston (2-2) 25-20, 25-10, 25-21 in a Great Northern League match at East Valley.

• Lizzie George had 10 kills and Camryn Hood added nine digs and four aces as Pullman (3-1) swept visiting Cheney (1-3) 25-15, 25-17, 25-13 in a GNL match.

Girls soccer

Brooke Morrow’s goal in the 71st minute gave Clarkston (5-1, 3-1) a 2-1 Great Northern League win at East Valley (3-2, 2-2).

• Elizabeth Fix’s hat trick gave Cheney (1-7, 1-3) a 3-1 win over Pullman (0-7, 0-4) in a GNL match in Pullman. Anne Mari Petrino scored the Greyhounds’ lone goal.
