In brief: Megaload to traverse Montana roads

From Wire Reports

BUTTE – Montana Department of Transportation officials say an oversized load of oil refinery equipment will travel from Dell to Great Falls as early as Wednesday.

The megaload will travel at night on Interstate 15 north to Highway 287. From there it will travel west to Bowman’s Corner and move east on Highway 200 to the Vaughn Frontage Road. It will then travel along the Northwest Bypass in Great Falls to Third Street.

Motorists should expect traffic delays of about 10 minutes.

Postal carrier faces theft charges

PORTLAND – A Portland letter carrier said he stole more than 10,000 pieces of mail to feed his toddler and pay for his methamphetamine habit.

John P. Osborn pleaded not guilty Friday before a Multnomah County Circuit Court judge to 114 charges of mail theft and 30 counts of identity theft.

A storage locker registered in Osborn’s girlfriend’s name was put up for auction when the rent went unpaid. When it was opened Tuesday, the owner found paychecks, financial statements, medical test results, vehicle registrations, utility bills and legal correspondence.
