Obituary: Nichols, Randolph Edward

Age 53

NICHOLS, Randolph Edward November 24, 1960 - September 25, 2014 Beloved son, husband, father and grandfather Randolph Edward Nichols of Spokane, WA, age 53, passed away on Thursday, September 25, 2014.

He was born on November 24, 1960 in Tulsa, OK to Maurice and Eldy Nichols, and grew up in a combination of Oklahoma and various countries over seas until he graduated from Memorial High School in Tulsa, OK in 1979.

He then moved to Pasadena, CA and attended Pasadena City College.

He was offered a job in Los Angeles, CA as a research chemist at Harshaw/Filtrol during which time he met his wife Cynthia Marie Antekeier on the 4th of July 1983.

They got married on March 31, 1984 and together they had four children: Rachael Marie, Zachary Randolph, Samuel Robert and Grace Elizabeth.

The family moved to Spokane, Washington in 1992 as Randy took a job at Kaiser Aluminum in Mead, WA as a safety manager.

During his years at Kaiser he earned his Bachelors degree in Organizational Management from Whitworth University and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1998.

In 2003 he started Pentad Systems, a successful software company, and he continued running the business until his last days.

Randy dedicated his life to his family and his faith in Jesus Christ.

He cherished his wife and his children with all his heart.

As an active member in church at Life Center in Spokane, WA, Randy was a talented musician and played guitar in the worship band at Life Center church for many years.

He had a memorable sense of humor and simply enjoyed spending time with others.

He was a trustworthy and genuine friend to so many people and he impacted countless people in a personal and meaningful way as he went through life.

Most of all, Randy was steadfast in his faithfulness towards God, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother Eldy Goodwin and his brother Marcel Nichols.

He is survived by his wife of over 30 years, Cindy Nichols; his daughter and son-in-law Rachael and Kenny Pecka, his son Zach Nichols, his son and daughter-in-law Sam and Jordan Nichols, his daughter and her fiancÄ‚Ĺ  Grace Nichols and Nathan Lewellyn, his grandson Ike Randolph Pecka, his father Maurice “Nick” Nichols, his brother Mike Nichols and his sister Diana Coulson.

His Memorial Service will take place on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Life Center Foursquare Church, 1202 N. Government Way, Spokane, WA 99224.
