Paulson, Thorson propel CC Spokane past Big Bend

Adam Paulson struck out eight in a complete-game six-hitter and Community Colleges of Spokane edged Big Bend 2-1 in a Northwest Athletic Conference baseball game Wednesday at Spokane Falls CC.

The win improved Paulson’s record to 5-0. He has a 1.39 ERA in six starts.

Tyler Thorson’s solo homer in the fourth broke a 1-all tie and proved to be the game-winning hit. CCS is 14-4 overall and 3-2 in the NWAC. Big Bend is 8-10, 1-4.

Circling Raven opens

Circling Raven Golf Club in Worley, Idaho, is set to open on Friday. Rates are $75 on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, and $65 during the rest of the week.
