Investigators attempting to trace threatening email

Investigators are trying to determine who set up the email account used to send a bomb threat to University High School administrators on April 1. The email, sent shortly before 9 a.m. to several different administrators at the school, promised that the school would “come down” within two hours of the email. “DO NOT try to evacuate the school of(sic) you do you will be responsible for the deaths of all those students,” the email read. The email also stated “I have been wronged in the past but I will not be wronged again.” Students were evacuated from the school and bused to a separate location to be picked up by their parents. Classes were cancelled for the day while the building was searched by a bomb sniffing dog. No device was found. Records from Google indicate that the email account used to send the email was created only minutes before the threat was sent, according to court records. Investigators filed a warrant Friday seeking additional information about the IP address of the device used to send the email.
