Obituary: Cederblom, Murray L. “Uncle Murray”

Age 90

CEDERBLOM, Murray L. “Uncle Murray” Murray beautifully and peacefully entered into his Heavenly home with family at his side, on April 9, 2015.

He was 90 years young.

Murray was born September 15, 1924 to David William and Esther Alvira (Erickson) Cederblom in Waukon, Washington.

He was the seventh child of eight.

He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters: Denton, Volney, Carroll and Keith; Marjorie (Carkuff) and Yvonne Cederblom.

He is survived by one sister, Maxine Collard of Redding, California, and one sister-in-law, Janet Cederblom of Edwall, WA.

He attended Edwall Grade School and graduated from Edwall High School in 1942.

He lived his entire life in Waukon, WA.

He enjoyed farming and ranching.

In 1980, Murray invited his nephew, Brian and Cyndi Cederblom, to join the Flying C Ranch.

His favorite was swathing hay and did so even after he started dialysis in 2011.

Murray belonged to the Waukon Grange and was a 49 year charter member of the Edwall Lion’s Club.

He was a caring “uncle” to numerous nephews, nieces and many others, and will be missed by all.

We would like to thank Fresenius Medical Care (Spokane Kidney Center), the Cheney Care Center, Cheney Assisted Living and Hospice of Spokane.

Memorial gifts may be given to Christian Heritage School in Edwall, WA., or Hospice of Spokane.
