Obituary: Stoker, Connie Sue (Peterson

Age 67

STOKER, Connie Sue (Peterson) Born March 12, 1948 in Kansas City, MO., to parents, Keith Ray Peterson, Sr. and Jeanne K. (Lansing) (Peterson) Suddarth, who preceded her in death.

She was also preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Nelle Reid and sister, Ruth (Peterson) Day.

While traveling home to Liberty Lake, WA, from wintering in Arizona, Connie experienced heart failure on April 1, 2015, in Wells, NV.

Connie was a graduate of William Chrisman High School in Independence, MO.

and had attended Phoenix Community College.

She was a Lifetime member of the VFW Post 1000 Ladies Auxiliary in Independence, MO.

Serving in many positions for nearly 50 years.

At the District level, she was President (Outstanding District President) and at the Department (State of Missouri) level, she was President (Outstanding Department President) from 1991 to 1992.

She also served as National chairman for six programs.

After moving to Washington, she became an active member in the Millwood Community Presbyterian Church, in Millwood, WA.

A member of the Presbyterian Women and actively involved the church camp, Camp White, in Post Falls, ID.

She is survived by her sister, Jeanne (Peterson) Harmer of Liberty Lake, WA; her brother, Keith R. Peterson, Jr., of Independence, MO; and stepson, Donald L Stoker, Jr., of Independence, MO; nieces, grandnieces, nephews, and grandnephews.

A Memorial Service to be held April 27, 2015, at 2:00 P.M., at the Millwood Community Presbyterian Church, 3223 N. Marguerite Rd., Spokane, WA 99212.
