Think of others when voting

I chuckle at the letters to the editor urging citizens to vote down Spokane Transit Authority Proposition 1. I wonder how many of those who wish to reject this needed proposition ever ride the bus. Reminds me of the old saying: “Nothing’s impossible so long as you’re not the one that has to do it.”

It’s very easy to say we don’t need an improved transit system in the greater Spokane area, but as one who does use the buses periodically, even though I own two automobiles, a motorcycle and two bicycles, I fully support this measure.

In reality, a small 0.3 cent tax sales increase would provide immeasurable help to those that do rely on the regional transit system for their transportation needs. Please think about others that do need this means of transportation to provide for themselves. Vote yes on this measure.
