Obituary: Cox, Jack Leon

Age 65

COX, Jack Leon Jack Leon Cox of Spokane, WA passed away peacefully in his home on August 14, 2015.

Born in Bakersfield, CA on November 25, 1949 he was survived by his children Thomas (Gene) Cox, Jesse Cox, Katya Cox, Sam Cox, and siblings Rocky Murray, Carole Kostelecky, Mark Cox, and Gary Cox as well as three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Jack graduated from Lincoln High School in Tacoma, WA in 1968.

He earned degrees in Carpentry and Computer Network Administration from Spokane Community College.

He was a Vietnam Veteran and served as a Jet Engine Mechanic on F4 Phantoms from 1969 - 1972.

Afterward he spent over 20 years as a bus driver for Spokane Transit Authority and later became a Real Estate Appraiser.

Jack had a relentless sense of humor and an adventurous spirit.

He was generous with his time and always willing to help someone in need.

Being a perfectionist, he never left a job until it was just right and instilled this principle in his children.

His adventures in fishing and geology were both infectious and inspiring.

He was a disciple of God, a devoted son and father, talented carpenter, green thumb, expert traveler, champion wrestler, avid fisherman, basketball coach, rock hound, and devoted Cougar fanatic.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 am on Saturday, August 29th at Bethel Church of the Nazarene, 1111 S Thor St, Spokane, WA.
