Procedure performed by radiologist
A radiologist performs the cryoablation procedure described in a story in the Today section Tuesday. The story erroneously indicated the procedure is performed by a surgeon, due to a reporter’s error. Also, the quote “It’s super cool and very fun … You can see you got it all,” was misattributed, also because of a reporter’s error. It was said by diagnostic radiologist Dr. Moira O’Riordan. Katherine Gawenit’s name was misspelled in a photo caption, because of a photographer’s error.
Veteran’s service was misstated
Larry Lehrbas, who died last week while trying to save his home from wildfire, was a veteran who served in Korea. A story on page A1 Tuesday incorrectly called him a veteran of the Korean War. In addition, the presentation of a flag involved Boy Scout Troop 218 and the Washington Air National Guard; the troop number and the service branch were incorrect in the story, due to a reporter’s error.
