GSL boys basketball: Shadle Park rallies to beat Mead

Andreas Brown scored all eight of his points in the fourth quarter as the visiting Shadle Park Highlanders rallied to knock off the Mead Panthers 59-54 in a season and Greater Spokane League boys basketball opener Wednesday.

Kylan Kelley led Shadle with 12 points.

Mead opened a 31-23 lead by halftime. But the Highlanders outscored the Panthers 36-23 in the final two quarters. Kobe Hanson led Mead with 13 points.

Central Valley 77, North Central 39: All 11 Bears scored as they eased past the visiting Indians. Josh Thomas led the Bears with 18 points and Cameron Tucker added 11. Landon Daines led CV with eight rebounds. Riley Smith of NC led all scorers with 17.

University 58, Rogers 51: Austin Dill had 17 points to lead the visiting Titans past the Pirates. U-Hi built as much as an 18-point lead. Noah Martin led the Titans with 10 rebounds. Denzel Brantley led Rogers with 17 points, including making 10 of 10 free throws.

Ferris 60, Mt. Spokane 43: Three Saxons – Shamrock Campbell, Jace Van Lierop and Mike Ervin – scored 16 points each as Ferris pulled away from the visiting Wildcats. Sam Stiles led Mt. Spokane with 10 points.
