College volleyball: Gonzaga’s Savannah Blinn earns regional first-team honor

Gonzaga redshirt senior Savannah Blinn was selected to the All-Pacific North Region’s first team, the American Volleyball Coaches’ Association announced Tuesday.

Blinn is the first player in program history to receive three all-region honors in her career.

“A number of good things happened in this program during the late ’80s and early ’90s, and Savannah certainly has been a catalyst in bringing the program back to the levels of success experienced during that era,” Gonzaga head coach Dave Gantt said.

Blinn led the Bulldogs with 475 kills during the 2015 season and finished second in school history with 1,728 kills. She also had 85 blocks during the season.
