Spokane police on scene of Browne’s Addition homicide

Spokane Major Crimes detectives are investigating the shooting death of a man in a Browne’s Addition apartment Sunday night.

Police were called to the scene, at West Sunset Boulevard and South Cannon Street, just before 7 p.m. and found the man dead in a parking lot just west of the apartment building, said police Lt. Steve Wohl.

A person at the scene admitted to the shooting and is cooperating with investigators, Wohl said. No arrest had been made as of 9 p.m.

It appeared the victim was shot inside an apartment and walked outside, where he collapsed, Wohl said.

Major Crimes detectives have contacted and detained all subjects directly involved in the incident and are processing the scene. The Spokane County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the identity of the victim.
