EWU wide receiver Cooper Kupp picks up fifth All-America award

Eastern Washington University wide receiver Cooper Kupp has earned his fifth All-America award of the season.

Kupp was named a first-team NCAA Football Championship Subdivision All-American by the Walter Camp Football Foundation, the organization announced on Friday.

Kupp has previously been honored as a first-team selection on All-America teams announced by STATS, Associated Press, the FCS Athletic Director’s Association and College Sports Madness. He was also honored by the Walter Camp Football Foundation as a freshman in 2013.

Kupp’s 2015 season included 114 receptions, which broke the previous league record of 112 and ranks eighth all-time in FCS history.

Kupp, who became only the second wide receiver in 42 years to win the Big Sky Conference Offensive MVP Award, is also one of three finalists to win the STATS FCS Offensive Player of the Year Award, which will be announced on the eve of the FCS championship game.
