Boys basketball: Bonners Ferry defeats CdA JV in overtime

Caleb Blackmore scored 16 points, Wyatt Nelson added 15 and visiting Bonners Ferry shook off the hot shooting of Jake Grinde for a 53-46 overtime win Thursday over the Coeur d’Alene junior varsity in a nonleaguer.

Grinde’s 3-pointer with 4.7 seconds remaining sent the game into overtime.

Grinde scored 10 of his 15 points in the second half.

Post Falls 69, Sandpoint 29: Dalton Thompson scored 13 points as the visiting Trojans topped the Bulldogs.

Post Falls received 11 points from Max McCullough and 10 from Zach Hillman.

North Star

Lakeside 74, Mullan 61: Jordan Nilson scored 25, teammate Hunter Kolar added 21 and the Knights defeated the visiting Tigers at Plummer.

Nilson added 10 rebounds, seven steals and four assists. Mike Huber pulled down 16 rebounds for Lakeside. TJ Plasencio led Mullan with a game-high 28 points.

Newport 69, Deer Park 50: Kyler Zorica scored 23 points and teamed with Josh Lyon for seven of the team’s eight 3-pointers as the visiting Grizzlies defeated the Stags.
