Can’t afford yes vote
Once again, the signs are out and the ads are shown to vote yes on both fire and school levies and bonds. Where does the money come from to make all these signs and posters I’m seeing, and to pay for the television ads? Seems to me they could use the dollars more wisely by reinvesting it into the schools.
I’m seeing some pretty serious wasting of taxpayer dollars when two fire trucks roll up to a home when it’s a medical call. Before I vote, I want to see a line-by-line account of what that future revenue is going to get. Salary increases? New football jerseys? New coat of paint on the tennis court?
We, as citizens paying into this, should demand accountability before voting. If these levies and bonds are passed, over $269 million of your dollars will go into the Central Valley School District machine. What will you see for your money? Visit the site of Spokane County election website before you check “yes” on passing these bonds and levies. I just can’t afford it any more. Can you? Enough already. Just say no.
