Shows kids we care

All of us in the Central Valley School District have an obligation to provide up-to-date facilities and well-equipped teachers to help our young people optimize their potential. Safe schools with updated educational, heating, electrical and security features are imperative for an optimal learning environment. Students and staff should be assured that their community values their personal safety.

By adding a new elementary school and expanding existing schools, children will attend schools in their own neighborhood. Land acquisition and planning for future growth will meet the expected growth needs of CVSD.

When businesses relocate or start up in an area, employees and owners look to workforce development. School district quality is part of the decision process in establishing their business footprint. These projects will attract new businesses because their employees’ children can attend quality schools and owners can access an educated, prepared workforce. In addition, construction bond projects themselves provide jobs and economic benefit to the area.

Please join me in voting yes for the Central Valley bond and levy. These are not new taxes and they do not raise the tax rate. Excellent schools reflect a strong, caring community. Let’s show our kids that we care.
