Man identified in overnight Spokane River drowning

The Spokane Medical Examiner identified the man found drowned near the Avista Dam early Wednesday as 28-year-old Michael Farley. Farley died of drowning and hypothermia, according to an autopsy conducted Wednesday. Police found his body in the Spokane River near the dam after 8 a.m. Wednesday. The cause of Farley’s death is under investigation by Spokane police detectives.
