4A regional gymnastics

The Central Valley gymnastics team on Saturday qualified three individuals for the state tournament. Savannah Folsom qualified in floor exercise, Chloe Robbins qualified in uneven bars and McKinzie Carter, who qualified third all-around, also qualified in each individual event. In a story in Sunday’s paper, Carter was incorrectly credited with placing seventh on the balance beam, an event that she actually won.

For University, Demri Oglesbee qualified in each individual event. Marla Prothero (beam), Shantel Singh (bars, beam) and Lauren Wallis (beam) also qualified.
