Watercolor/Acrylic Workshop – This two-day workshop for artists of all skill levels is led by Wes Hanson. There will be an hour for lunch, bring a sack lunch or eat out. Limited to 15 students. City of Moscow Arts Commission, the 1912 Center and Heart of the Arts Workshops Basic Pastel Painting with Bonnie Griffith: Participants age 18 and older will learn the basics of pastel painting. Students provide their own pastels. 9 a.m.-4 p.m. March 14-15. $150, covers both sessions, plus cost of supplies. 1912 Center, 412 Third St., Moscow. Experimental Pastel Painting with Bonnie Griffith: This workshop is for pastelists age 18 and older who have been working in pastels and want to take their work to the next level. Drawing in Color with Dana Aldis: In this four-session workshop, participants age 15 and older will develop their drawing skills and hand-eye coordination while working from observation (not photographs). Students will learn basic traditional drawing techniques such as line, structure, value/shading and cross-hatching, as well as composition. Students will work at their own pace and complete 2 or 4 pieces of art to take home. 4:30-6 p.m. April 8, 15, 22, 29. $32/per class; $128/all four sessions. Photography in Blue: Cyanotype with Harlan Crichton: Participants age 10 and older will use cyanotype, a nontoxic alternative photographic process, to produce beautiful images.
