Enforce immigration laws

Regarding the Feb. 18 article, “McMorris Rodgers says ruling shows legislative solution needed” [to immigration system]:

How would she know if the system is broken? Immigration laws have not been enforced for 20 years. Only an idiot or a congressman would say that the answer is more laws to not enforce.

McMorris Rodgers has been in Congress 10 years, part of that time with Republican majorities and a Republican president, while immigration laws have been ignored. She and the Republican leadership have done nothing to get them enforced.

Why? Both Republican and Democrat big donors want a constant flow of unskilled labor to hold down wages, and they have succeeded. Democrats want to change the electorate to the left over time through immigration, and are succeeding. In California, for example.

With unlimited supply, the labor market is skewed due to the slime that hire illegal aliens and the lack of interior immigration enforcement that makes it possible. I would rather pay more for food and hotel rooms, avoid taxes to support the illegal immigrants, and keep the electorate we have.
