Obituary: Gower, Gordon L.

GOWER, Gordon L. Gordon L. Gower (85) passed away at home on February 10, 2015.

Gordie was born in Claresholm, Alberta, Canada on May 20, 1929 to Alberta and Harold Gower.

The family moved to Shelby, MT in 1933 and to Spokane, WA in 1942.

Gordie attended North Central High School.

He served in the Army in Germany during the Korean Conflict.

He worked at Kaiser Mead for 34 years as a Heavy Equipment Operator, retiring in 1983.

Gordie is survived by his wife of 59 1/2 years, Pearl, sons Ralph (Debbie) and Neal (Jenny), and daughter Debbie (David) Schenk, 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grand- child, his older brother, Glen, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Alberta Gower, and siblings Vernon, Evelynn, Jimmy and Marlene.

A Memorial service will be held Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 3:00 pm in the Sunset Chapel at Fairmount Memorial Gardens, 5200 W. Wellesley, Spokane, WA.
