“August Rush” Part of the Northwest Bach Festival Film Classics series. In this unusual drama from 2007, Evan, an orphaned 11-year-old musical prodigy, runs away to New York convinced that his ability to hear music at all times and in all places will help him locate his parents. The film received an Academy Award nomination for best song (“Raise It Up”), and features music ranging from Edward Elgar’s Cello Concerto in E Minor to works by Van Morrison, Mark Mancina and Billie Holiday, among others.
