Obituary: Cook, Charles E.

Age 89

COOK, Charles E. (Age 89) Charles E. Cook of Deer Park, Washington, passed away February 19, 2015 at his home in Deer Park.

He was born August 12, 1925 in Spokane, Washington to Harry W. and Wilma V. (Tharp) Cook and was a graduate of Rogers High School in Spokane, class of 1943.

After High School, Chuck enlisted in the Coast Guard during WWII, served in the reserves and served in an Army transport unit as a cook on ship in the Aleutian Islands during the Korean War.

When he returned to Spokane, he worked as a machinist at Aluminum Supply Co./Gifford Hill for 42 yrs.

Chuck was a lifetime member of F.O.

of Eagles, Aerie 3564 and the VFW Mens Auxiliary, Post 3067, both of Deer Park.

He is survived by his Son; David (Brandi) Cook.

Stepdaughter; Kristina Davidson.

Stepson; Richard (Sharon) Davidson.

Grandchildren Steven, Brian, Paul, Jason, Melanie, and Richie.

Several great-grandchildren; three nieces and a nephew.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 34 yrs, Jackqualine and his brother, James A. Cook.

The family would like to thank Tim Walden and Linda Thrasher for the friendship and care they gave to Chuck.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, February 27, at Woodland Cemetery in Deer Park.

A Celebration of his Life will follow at 4:00 p.m. at the Eagles Lodge in Deer Park.
