It’s a downward spiral

In the letter to the editor “Reactionaries abuse sacred texts” (Dec. 28), the writer tries to justify that legalizing same-sex marriage and disregarding the Bible “makes us a better society and a more compassionate people.” What?

Then, immediately following, was the letter titled “Brothels protect sex workers,” advocating for the legalization of houses of prostitution. What?

These are prime examples of what happens to society when the authority of the Bible is disregarded, God’s laws are broken and man creates laws to satisfy his own sinful desires. Wake up, people; it’s a downward spiral heading straight for the edge of the cliff. When will they ever learn?
