Obituary: Granger, Kraig Scot

GRANGER, Kraig Kraig Scot Granger was born to Red and B.J.

Granger, on June 23, 1956 in Oakland, California.

As a child Kraig, his brother Mark and sister Judy lived in many states before finally reestablishing roots in Southern California.

After he graduated from El Camino Real High School, Kraig joined the United States Marine Corp which had a positive influence on his life.

After being honorably discharged, he met and married his first wife.

They had two daughters, Jessica Leigh and Ashley Paige.

One of his proudest achievements was serving as Commandant of Students and teaching at the Ridgewood Military Academy in Woodland Hills, California.

Kraig began a career in Telecommunications in 1980.

Kraig moved in 1994 to the Pacific Northwest, eventually residing in Medical Lake, Washington where he later met his girlfriend, Marie Maira.

Kraig worked at both Deaconess and Valley Hospitals in Spokane, Washington as a Telecommunications Manager with his long-time friend Billy Butherus.

Kraig was well respected in the community and was recognized as a friend and confidant.

Sadly on December 22, 2014, Kraig was taken from us too soon.

He was a warm, loving incredible man with the world’s biggest heart.

He was an amazing friend, coach, teacher, companion and the world’s best dad.

He will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
