One man injured in early Tuesday crash

From staff reports
A Calgary man was injured around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday when a Freightliner semi-tractor collided with a pickup truck on U.S. Highway 95 north of Bonners Ferry. Stuart Watson, 59, is being evaluated at Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane after being transferred from Boundary Community Hospital. The driver of the semi, Gurpreet Singh, 21, also of Calgary, was not injured, a news release from the Idaho State Police said. Singh was headed south on Highway 95 about five miles north of Bonners Ferry when he lost control of the semi. It slid sideways into the northbound lane, hitting Watson’s 2008 Ford F350 pickup head-on, the release said. Singh refused medical attention at the scene. Both men were wearing seat belts. The investigation into the accident’s cause is continuing.
