Denny leads Liberty past Springdale

Christine Denny hit 5 of 12 3-pointers and had 32 points and eight rebounds as Liberty edged Springdale 57-53 in a nonleague game Tuesday night in Springdale.

The Chargers (5-6) outscored Liberty 18-5 in the third quarter to erase Liberty’s 10-point halftime lead, but the Lancers (6-5) regrouped late and prevailed.

Springdale’s Elish Smith and Jackie Carr scored 15 points apiece and Nichole Beckman added 11 points and 15 rebounds.

Lewiston 63, Lakeland 19: Cali Moscrip and Halle White scored 12 points apiece and the Bengals (10-1) dominated from the opening tip in an easy win over the Hawks (5-9) in Rathdrum.

Northwest Christian 73, Lind-Ritzville/Sprague 47: Rachel Bozlee led a balanced attack with 16 points, five assists and five steals and the Crusaders (11-1) routed the visiting Broncos (7-2). Treasure Farmer added 10 points, eight assists and five steals and Mackenzi and Courtney Gray each chipped in 12 points for NWC, which made all 13 of its free throws. Tessa Jantz had 13 points and eight rebounds for the Broncos.

St. George’s 68, Kettle Falls 40: Hailey Higashi and Ceci Bergquist scored 26 points apiece and the Dragons (6-6) routed the host Bulldogs (4-7). Higashi made six 3-pointers. Kettle Falls’ Erin Johnson tallied 13 points.

Reardan 75, Columbia 9: Maddie Johnson had 19 points and five steals and the Indians (9-2) overwhelmed the visiting Lions (0-8). Reardan came away with 30 steals and held Columbia scoreless in the first quarter.

Colfax 60, Davenport 42: Carmen Gfeller and Kori Goodwin combined for 26 points and the Bulldogs (9-3) forced 23 turnovers in a win over the host Gorillas (5-5). Davenport’s Sydney Abbot had 13 points and Madison Abbott pulled down 11 rebounds.

Coeur d’Alene Charter 48, Wallace 46 (OT): Sarah Haman scored on three straight possessions in overtime and finished with 16 points and 11 rebounds as the Panthers (6-2) edged the visiting Miners. Wallace’s Maryssa Hogamier tallied a game-high 20 points.

Cusick 50, Valley Christian 29: Renee Wynne scored 15 points and Cusick (2-5) forced 39 turnovers in a rout of visiting Valley Christian (2-7). Phoebe Trigstad posted a team-high 10 points for Valley Christian.

St. John-Endicott 44, Odessa-Harrington 43: Gracie Dickerson scored 10 points and the Eagles (6-4) edged the host Titans (2-8) in Harrington. Lanessa Simon tallied a game-high 15 points for Odessa-Harrington.

Oakesdale 60, Asotin 36: Tatiana Mendoza led three players in double figures with 15 points and the Nighthawks excelled defensively in a win over the visiting Panthers. Jacey Johnson added 15 points and Anne Hockett added 11 for Oakesdale, which limited Asotin to 27 percent shooting from the field.

Inland Empire 5A

Lake City 53, Coeur d’Alene 36: The Vikings (8-6, 0-2) went ice cold in the fourth quarter and fell to the visiting Timberwolves (13-2, 2-0). Keara Simpson scored 14 points and Clarissa Smith added 11 for Lake City. Coeur d’Alene’s Isabella Hollinbaugh tallied a team-high 11 points and Madisen Scholwinski pulled down 10 rebounds, but the Vikings shot just 10 percent in the fourth and were outscored 17-4.

Great Northern

East Valley 52, Cheney 37: Skylar Bastin had 13 points, 12 rebounds and six steals as the Knights (8-2, 2-0) used a 13-6 first-quarter run to establish control and beat the visiting Blackhawks (4-6, 0-3). EV’s Jordan Phelan also had 13 points and Hannah Burland added 12.

Clarkston 57, West Valley 47: Jaclyn Meyers scored 14 points and Charlie Dimke and Sequoia Swan each added 11 as the Bantams (5-4, 3-0) clipped the visiting Eagles (2-7, 0-1). West Valley’s Erin Higbie had 14 points and Natalie Noble hit four 3-pointers and added 13 points.

Northeast A

Lakeside 62, Riverside 40: Jocelyn Cook-Cox scored 12 points and grabbed nine rebounds and the Eagles (9-1, 4-0) pulled away after halftime and beat the Rams (3-6, 2-2) in Nine Mile Falls. Lakeside won the rebounding battle 44-21. Riverside’s Julianna Trepanier led all scorers with 20 points.

Colville 42, Medical Lake 38: Megan Lee and Baylee Main combined for 22 points and the Indians (4-6, 3-1) erased a six-point halftime deficit and beat the host Cardinals (2-6, 2-2). Medical Lake’s Bradyn Wegner tallied a game-high 16 points.

Freeman 44, Newport 31: The Scotties (1-8, 1-3) pulled away after halftime and beat the visiting Grizzlies (2-8, 1-3). Freeman’s Sydney Sather scored 12 points, Cassidy Crosswhite pulled down 11 rebounds and Isabelle Miller scored all 11 of her points in the Scotties’ 23-13 second-half run. Newport’s Hadley Stratton tallied a game-high 14 points.

Chewelah 61, Deer Park 46: Krislyn Koler scored a game-high 21 points and Maggie Cobb added 16 as the Cougars (4-6, 3-1) dominated in the first and third quarters and defeated the visiting Stags (0-10, 0-4). Deer Park’s Jael and Damaris Guske combined for 25 points.

Northeast 1B North

Republic 66, Curlew 39: Kiana Koepke, Demi Jo Vaughn and Lily Beckwith scored 12 points apiece and the Tigers (10-0, 6-0) dominated through three quarters before letting up late in an easy win over the host Cougars (6-5, 4-3). Curlew’s Lindsey and Haleigh Gibson scored nine points each.
