1: Symphony

Morihiko Nakahara conducts as the Spokane Symphony performs “The Rise of Exotic Computing” by Mason Bates, written for sinfonietta of 14 and a laptop; Michael Daugherty’s “Le Tombeau de Liberace,” for piano and orchestra; and a new arrangement of Modest Mussorgsky’s “Pictures at an Exhibition,” by Chinese-born composer Julian Yu.

When: Enjoy food and drink specials from 5-6:45 p.m., followed by the concert at 7 p.m.

3: ‘Glen Campbell:

Riverview Retirement Community presents the Spokane premiere of this award-winning documentary chronicling the country legend’s ongoing battle with Alzheimer’s disease. It’s so much more than the journey from decorated career to diagnosis and the decision to go public when no one else had; it’s a story of faith, family and a passion for music that led to a goodbye tour like no other.

4: ‘The Servant

From the canals of Venice come high-strung lovers, wily servants and deceiving parents in this version of the 1743 Carlo Goldoni translated and adapted by Jeffrey Hatcher and Paolo Emilio Landi. Servant Truffaldino’s story is filled with comedy, chaos and mayhem. All he is looking for is a decent meal … and a way to double his wages in an unfamiliar city.

When: Today thorugh Feb. 8; performances are Thursdays-Saturdays at 7:30 p.m.; and Sundays at 2 p.m.

5: Hell’s Belles

6: Spokane String Quartet: ‘Old Vienna, New Vienna’

Guest artists, pictured above from left, are cellists John Marshall and Jeffrey Lastrapes, and the program includes Mozart’s String Quartet No. 23 in F Major, Webern’s “Langsamer Satz” and Schubert’s String Quartet in C Major.
