Dish, Fox come to agreement, restoring programming

Dish Network and Fox patched up their differences, bringing Fox News and Fox Business back to Dish subscribers. Both channels went dark just before Christmas, with both Dish and Fox claiming the other company was responsible. The two companies waged public relations battles in recent weeks and analysts predicted the spat could drag on, despite what they estimated are heavy losses of viewers by Fox and subscribers by Dish. In an announcement Thursday afternoon, Dish Network LLC and Fox News Network LLC said they have reached a multi-year agreement for Dish to carry the Fox programming. Executives said in a joint statement, “We thank the viewers of Fox News and Fox Business and Dish customers for their patience throughout this process.” Terms of the agreement weren’t disclosed.
