Four corners: Gonzaga Bulldogs
Coming up: Tonight at Pepperdine, 7:30 p.m. (KHQ); Saturday at Loyola Marymount, 1 p.m. (KHQ)
Outlook: The Waves (11-5, 4-1), who don’t have a senior on the roster, have been the WCC’s biggest surprise. They lead the nation in 3-point percentage defense (23.7) and yield just 58.6 points per conference game. They’re coming off their first 2-0 WCC road week since 2002. Junior forward Stacy Davis, first-team All-WCC last year and newcomer of the year in 2013, came off the bench for the first time in wins over BYU and San Diego last week and averaged 20.5 points. Gonzaga has won 26 straight in the series.
Sophomore guard Evan Payne is third in the WCC in scoring at 20 ppg for last-place LMU (4-13, 0-5).
Gonzaga leaders
