Support CVSD ballot issue

We are in our late 70s and have each served three four-year terms on school boards. We are now serving on the steering committee for the upcoming Central Valley School District bond and levy election in February. We know bonds and levies are necessary to help educate the youth in the district. Many of our generation say that with their children raised, they don’t need to support the school system anymore.

Our question to them is: What about your grandchildren and great-grandchildren or your friends’ children or those in your neighborhood? Each child within the district deserves the support of the community to provide them with the education they will need to further their success in life. The bond and levy issue before the voters in the CVSD on Feb. 10 is necessary to help provide our youth with what they need.

By the way, approval of these initiatives will not increase your tax rates. Please register to vote, if you haven’t already, and then vote yes on the construction bond and school programs and operations replacement levy. The children of the community will be grateful to you.
