Girls basketball: Reardan rallies past Lind-Ritzville/Sprague

Maddie Johnson and Kamille Langford scored 13 points apiece and Reardan erased a seven-point, fourth-quarter deficit and beat Lind-Ritzville/Sprague 60-58 in a Northeast 2B League game Saturday in Reardan.

Langford also pulled down 10 rebounds and Bailey Perleberg chipped in six points and 10 boards for the Indians, who made seven fourth-quarter free throws to spark their rally.

Lind-Ritzville/Sprague’s Jenna Bennett had 17 points, Tommi Swannack added 16 and Mallory Kessler chipped in 11.

Reardan improved to 11-4 overall and 7-3 in the league. The Indians have five remaining regular-season games.

LRS fell to 10-3 and 7-3 and has six games left on its regular-season schedule.

St. George’s 40, Wilbur-Creston 37: Hailey Higashi scored 11 of her game-high 18 points in the first quarter as the Dragons (9-7, 5-5) used a hot start to get past the Wildcats (5-10, 2-8) in Creston.

St. George’s opened the game on a 15-8 run and fended off Wilbur-Creston’s rallies. Erin Armitage added 14 rebounds for the Dragons.

Wilbur-Creston had a balanced scoring attack. Ireland Corrigan tallied a team-high nine points, Karlee Maioho and Lauren Leyva each added eight and Elizabeth Brudevold chipped in seven.

Colfax 71, Kettle Falls 37: Colfax (13-3) erupted for 31 first-quarter points and eased past host Kettle Falls (6-8). Colfax’s Carmen Gfeller scored 13 points and Olivia Mellor and Taylor Garcia added nine apiece. Kettle Falls’ Daisy Hamilton tallied a team-high 11 points.

Davenport 61, Tekoa-Rosalia 31: Meika Heath made 9 of 17 shots, including all five of her free throws, and finished with 25 points as the Gorillas (8-7, 5-5) dumped the visiting Timberwolves (7-7, 3-7). Sydney Abbott added 10 points for Davenport and Madison Abbott pulled down 10 rebounds. Tekoa-Rosalia’s Kimberly Groom tallied a team-high 10 points.

Great Northern

East Valley 50, Cheney 38: Maddie Bastin made 6 of 8 free throws and scored 14 points to power the Knights (12-2, 6-0) past the host Blackhawks (5-9, 0-6). East Valley led by five at the half then outscored Cheney 16-4 in the third to put the game away. Kendyl Cone led Cheney with 13 points and nine rebounds.

West Valley 67, Clarkston 53: Erin Higbie scored 17 points and grabbed 10 rebounds and the Eagles (5-8, 3-2) topped the Bantams (5-8, 3-3) in a back-and-forth game at West Valley. The Eagles outscored Clarkston 17-2 in the second quarter, but the Bantams responded with a 16-9 third-quarter run. West Valley regrouped and pulled away in the fourth. Caitlyn Hossfeld added 15 points and Rachel McGlothlen chipped in 13 for the Eagles. Clarkston’s Jaclyn Meyers tallied a team-high 21 points and Sequoia Swan added seven points and eight rebounds.

Intermountain

Timberlake 66, Priest River 26: Allison Kirby led four players in double figures with 14 points and the host Tigers (12-2, 3-0) pulled away in the second quarter and dumped the Spartans (12-3, 2-1) at Spirit Lake. Keelie Lawler scored 12 points, Payten Rhodes added 11 and Jacquelyn Mallet chipped in 10 for Timberlake, which outscored Priest River 26-8 in the second quarter to take a 44-18 halftime lead. Priest River’s Elisa Williams tallied a team-high seven points. The win was Timberlake’s third straight.

Central Idaho

Coeur d’Alene Charter 52, Orofino 26: Hannah Verhaeghe made 10 of 15 shots and finished with 18 points and nine rebounds as the Panthers (7-5, 1-1) raced past the visiting Maniacs. Amelia Lehosit added 12 points and 10 rebounds for Coeur d’Alene Charter, which built a 31-11 halftime lead.

Southeast 1B

Colton 76, LaCrosse-Washtucna/Kahlotus 6: Savannah Chadwick led a balanced offensive attack with 15 points and the Wildcats (14-0, 7-0) secured their 58th consecutive win with a rout of the visiting Tigercats. Colton’s Meghan Devorak added 14 points and Rachel Meyer chipped in 10. The Wildcats will look to extend their streak Friday at St. John-Endicott.

Touchet 68, St. John-Endicott 57: Cierra McKeown scored 35 points on 13-of-25 shooting and the Indians topped the Eagles (6-8, 3-5) in St. John. St. John-Endicott’s Rachel Gfeller had 17 points, 10 rebounds and four steals and Gracie Dickerson added 17 points and nine boards.

Pomeroy 59, Liberty Christian 27: Kacey Halbert made 6 of 8 free throws and scored 20 points to guide the Pirates past the visiting Patriots. Skylar Smith added 13 points and Savannah Ruark and Esther Schuh each added nine for Pomeroy.

Nonleague

Republic 62, Odessa-Harrington 42: Shania Graham scored 22 points and the Tigers (14-0) opened the game on a 15-4 run and cruised past the Titans (5-9) in Odessa. Odessa-Harrington closed the gap to eight points in the third, but Republic pulled away. Jordyn Tanke led the Titans with 19 points and seven rebounds.

Wellpinit 48, Selkirk 17: Kyra Antone led a balanced offensive attack with 10 points and the Redskins (9-5) held the host Rangers (4-7) scoreless in the first quarter in an easy win at Ione. Hannah Rick led Selkirk with eight points.

Northport 50, Columbia 34: Ashytn Baribault scored 18 points and Clara Sanchez added 13 as the Mustangs (3-9) surged after halftime and routed the host Lions (0-12) in Hunters. The win was the second straight for Northport. Columbia’s Brianna James had 13 points and 10 rebounds and Ailaina Cooney added 11 points and 10 boards.

Almira/Coulee-Hartline 54, Inchelium 27: Breanna Oliver scored 15 points and Reinnee Rockett added 13 as the Warriors (12-2) surged after a close first quarter and dumped the host Hornets (5-5). Inchelium’s Olivia Williams tallied a team-high 12 points.
