Lewiston boys, girls sweep visiting Sandpoint

The Lewiston Bengals swept a nonleague doubleheader from visiting Sandpoint at Booth Hall on Monday night.

Boys: Trystan Bradley scored 10 points and was the only player to reach double figures in the Bengals’ 48-32 win.

Lincoln Carter and Michael Murphy chipped in eight points apiece for the Bengals.

Cooper Spalding, Dylan Kuzmich and Troy Mitton scored five points apiece to lead Sandpoint.

Girls: Lynzee Wilson hit two 3-pointers on her way to 13 points and Emilee Schlader added 10 in the Bengals’ 59-42 triumph.

Lewiston jumped out to a 21-6 first-quarter lead and led the rest of the game.

Madi Schoening had a double-double with 21 points and 13 rebounds and added four steals for Sandpoint. The Bulldogs shot just 3 of 14 in the first quarter, but were 14 of 32 from the field the rest of the way.
